Blue Wildebeest Antelope
You may conjure visions of the Serengeti and Masai Mara regions of East Africa when you see our herds of Blue Wildebeest in the fields of the Bar H Bar Ranch. These beautiful trophies are known for their annual migration in their native habitat where they elude the many predators pursuing the massive migrating herd.
The Blue Wildebeest is a very large antelope which can reach 8 feet in length, 4.5 feet tall at the shoulders and weigh up to 600 pounds. Both males and females grow horns with an average length of 20 to 25 inches.
Our herds are well established breeding populations with great representative examples of these wonderful animals. Any hunter’s trophy room would be enhanced with one of these great antelope on display.
Chef's thoughts
One of the best meats I’ve had the pleasure of preparing. The taste is slightly sweet making this rich meat extremely pleasant. In any dish from Ground meat to Tenderloin; Wildebeest is at the top of my list!
