Planning Your Hunt
Like any good safari, your Bar H Bar Ranch hunting experience will be filled with surprises and interesting opportunities in the field. Our 6 square miles of beautiful and diverse Texas Hill Country is a great combination of open and covered areas. With no internal fences, animals live on our open range much like their native habitat making the -H- a challenging adventure - your safari in the Texas Hill Country.
Expect the Unexpected Trophy
Planning your successful -H- hunting adventure should begin with allowing yourself flexibility. Enjoyment has been highest for those hunters who visit looking for the best trophy opportunities presented during their time in the field. In general, we suggest identifying a comfortable budget for your trip and select a few species to be pursued during your stay. You may encounter your trophy 5 minutes from the lodge or after several days in the field - each hunt is unique and exciting.
On rare occasions we have accommodated a returning guest to pursue a specific trophy and nothing else, however, this is not what we recommend for our first time visitors. While our resident guides invest a great deal of time scouting prior to your arrival, they're not out there tossing ropes and tying critters to trees.
